Create your account
Sign up with your phone number and choose "I'm looking for help." Add your name, location, and what type of help you need — house cleaning, childcare, cooking, or all three.
Browse verified worker profiles
Search and filter by location, skills, availability, and salary range. Every profile shows you expected pay, years of experience, languages spoken, and WakaVerified status. No hidden information.
Unlock a conversation for UGX 11,000
Found someone promising? Pay a one-time UGX 11,000 Prospective Profile fee to open a direct chat. This small fee covers our platform costs and keeps out non-serious enquiries. Premium members can message freely.
Interview and shortlist
Chat directly with Workers. Ask questions, share your household requirements, discuss salary and schedule. Take your time — there's no pressure. Arrange an in-person interview before making any decision.
Create a contract and get started
Once you've chosen your helper, generate a simple digital contract through the platform. The contract records the role, salary, start date, and contract type. Both parties sign and keep a copy.
Pay salary and leave a review
Use the in-platform salary payment feature to pay monthly via MTN or Airtel Mobile Money. After a period of work, leave an honest review to help other families in the community.
For Workers looking for a placement
Create your worker profile
Sign up with your phone number and choose "I'm looking for work." Fill in your skills, years of experience, expected salary, availability (live-in or day work), and languages spoken. Add a clear profile photo.
Get WakaVerified
Upload your National ID or passport in Settings → Verification. Our team reviews it within 24 hours. Once approved, your profile gets the WakaVerified badge — families trust verified profiles significantly more, and verified workers receive more messages.
Apply for jobs or wait to be found
Browse job listings posted by families and apply directly. Or simply keep your profile visible and let interested families message you. You are in control — you can accept or decline any enquiry.
Chat and interview
When a family unlocks a chat with you, respond at your own pace. Ask questions about the role, the household, the children, and the working conditions. You have every right to turn down a position that doesn't feel right.
Sign a contract
When you and the family agree on terms, both parties sign a digital contract through the platform. This protects you — it documents your salary, duties, and start date. Keep your copy.
Get paid and build your reputation
Receive your monthly salary via Mobile Money. After each successful placement, collect a review. Good reviews make your profile more visible and help you access better-paying roles over time.
