Acceptable Use Policy
Waka Care Solutions • Kampala, Uganda • legal@wakahelper.com
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs the technical and operational use of the WakaHelper platform and its underlying infrastructure. It supplements our general Terms of Service with specific rules about how users, developers, and automated systems may access the Platform.
Violations of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of access and, where applicable, legal action.
1. Permitted Use
You may use the WakaHelper platform for its intended purpose: connecting domestic Workers with Employers in Uganda. This includes:
- Creating and managing your own account and profile;
- Browsing publicly available Worker profiles and job listings;
- Messaging other users through the Platform’s messaging system;
- Posting genuine job listings or submitting genuine applications; and
- Making payments for permitted features through the Platform’s payment interface.
2. Prohibited Technical Activities
You must not:
2.1 Scraping and Data Harvesting
- Use automated tools, bots, crawlers, spiders, or scrapers to access, index, or copy any content from the Platform;
- Systematically download profile data, job listings, or any other Platform content for storage, analysis, or redistribution; or
- Build a competing service or dataset using data harvested from WakaHelper.
2.2 Unauthorised Access
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, or data on the Platform;
- Use brute-force techniques, credential stuffing, or other automated methods to guess or bypass authentication;
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform or its underlying systems without prior written authorisation from Waka Care Solutions;
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, IP bans, or access controls; or
- Access the Platform using credentials belonging to another user.
2.3 Reverse Engineering
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform software or API;
- Attempt to extract proprietary algorithms, matching logic, or database schemas; or
- Intercept or manipulate API calls to the Platform in ways not authorised by these Terms.
2.4 Interference and Disruption
- Transmit viruses, malware, ransomware, or any other harmful code through the Platform;
- Conduct or facilitate denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against the Platform or any third party;
- Overload the Platform with automated requests that degrade performance for other users; or
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform’s security features, payment processing, or notification systems.
2.5 Spam and Bulk Messaging
- Send unsolicited bulk messages to other users;
- Use the messaging system to send commercial advertising unrelated to a genuine employment enquiry; or
- Create automated messaging bots or scripts that send messages without human initiation.
2.6 Account Manipulation
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension, avoid the PP Unlock fee, or manipulate review ratings;
- Share account access with third parties; or
- Sell, transfer, or otherwise commercialise access to a WakaHelper account.
3. API and Integration
WakaHelper does not currently offer a public API. Any integration with WakaHelper systems requires prior written authorisation from Waka Care Solutions. Unauthorised API use will be blocked and may result in legal action.
4. Security Research
If you discover a security vulnerability in the WakaHelper platform, we ask that you report it responsibly by emailing security@wakahelper.com before disclosing it publicly. Include a description of the vulnerability and, if possible, steps to reproduce it. We will acknowledge your report within 48 hours.
Responsible disclosure does not authorise any access to user data, system modification, or disruption of service. Testing must be limited to your own account data and must not affect other users.
5. Monitoring and Enforcement
Waka Care Solutions monitors Platform usage for violations of this AUP. We reserve the right to:
- Block or rate-limit requests that exhibit automated or abusive patterns;
- Terminate accounts found to be in violation of this AUP without prior notice; and
- Pursue civil or criminal legal action against users whose violations cause material harm to Waka Care Solutions, its users, or its infrastructure.
